The software license you agree to when you install Mountain Lion states that you can “download, install, use and run for personal, non-commercial use, one (1) copy of the directly on each Apple-branded computer running OS X Lion or OS X Snow Leopard…that you own or control.” In other words, if your Mac shipped with Lion or Snow Leopard, you can install Mountain Lion. ![]()
